The Grow Digital Voucher: a plain-English guide for Irish small businesses

The Grow Digital Voucher from your Local Enterprise Office gives small businesses a grant of up to €5,000 towards digital tools and software. It covers half the cost of your project — so a €10,000 project could get the full €5,000, and a €4,000 project would get €2,000. The smallest grant is €500.

Before you can apply for the voucher, you first complete a free Digital for Business project with the Local Enterprise Office. One of their digital experts looks at how your business runs today, spots where technology would save you time and money, and writes a short report with recommendations. That report — done within the last two years — is your ticket to applying for the voucher.

• Small businesses with between 1 and 50 paid employees
• Trading for at least 6 months, registered and based in your Local Enterprise Office area
• Not currently a client of Enterprise Ireland or the IDA
• Up to date with Revenue (you'll need your tax clearance details)
• Completed a Digital for Business project within the previous two years

Companies, sole traders and partnerships can all apply. You can be approved for up to two vouchers, with a combined maximum of €5,000.

• Moving paperwork and spreadsheets into one simple system
• Training and getting the new tools set up properly
• Tools that help you reach new customers online
